QUESTION: When you select your working resolution, do you have to match the aspect ratio with what was shot? If not, what happens to the picture. If so, what happens if you edit shots with different aspects?

Hi, Please can you help me??? I have many RED videos footage and I do have Final Cut Pro(Mac computer). What I need is convert/save this videos footage in HD .mov files, to send for a friend that have CS5(windows computer) to make edition.
I already tried to send for him a feel times, but when He download the videos footage in his CS5(windows computer), the videos footage look WASH OUT and low quality.
I do not know what I am doing wrong.
Please can you help me??? What is the right way to save/convert the RED videos footage in MAC to HD .mov files(high quality)???
